Momentum

Speaking

The audience I built this for.

Momentum exists to show ambitious young people how things actually get built. Sometimes that means going to them: a classroom, a business club, the first hour of a career day.

Five talks. Four schools.

8th grade

Yeshivah of Central Queens

Opened career day for the eighth grade, alongside a two-time Momentum guest.

June Aboksis, the founder of Junee's, came with me to kick off career day for YCQ's eighth graders. June has been on Momentum twice, so this was the first one of these I did next to someone I had interviewed rather than about them.

Senior class

Hebrew Academy of Nassau County

Spoke to the senior class, then got asked back the following year.

The first visit was in May 2025. They invited me back for the next senior class almost exactly a year later, which is the part I am proudest of.

Senior class

Magen David Yeshivah High School

A senior class built their final project around Momentum, then had me come in and answer for it.

The seniors had a final project: pick a successful individual and study their story. In past years that meant Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos. Their teacher, Mrs. Stephanie Shamah, changed the assignment so each student had to choose someone from the local community instead. People they actually see around.

They based the project on Momentum, and I was asked to come in and speak to the class. Most of the time I am the one asking the questions. This time the roles flipped, in front of students I am only a few months older than.

They asked about guest sourcing, research, and staying consistent, and how I juggle the podcast with work, my business, and a social life at 18. The balance part is still a work in progress.

Business club

Hillel Yeshivah High School

The first one. Five months after the first episode went out.

Dr. Gayle Krost brought me in to speak to the school's business club. Momentum was five months old and I had no idea whether any of this travelled outside a podcast feed. It turned out it did.

Bring Momentum to your school.

I speak to high school and middle school classes about building something young, and about what two years of interviewing founders actually teaches you. Happy to talk about a visit.
